ANEW

Digital creation on glass, 30cm x 30cm, 2025
The butterfly has always been very symbolic to me. This work captures me right now, as a 19-year-old woman, learning to spread my wings and open myself up to the world, but with darker shades that depict some life experience and a hesitancy; the modern world is a scary place!
BAYING

Digital creation on metal, 30cm x 30cm, 2025
What happens when an important person in your life doesn’t allow you a voice? Pent up fury, that’s what. The word “intolerant” – which this important person labelled me with – has long lurked in the back of my mind; now it’s upfront, giving me the voice that I didn’t have in the moment.
Personal Note: This piece of art is my way to regaining power in a belittling situation. It’s for all the people who have ever been made to feel the way I did. I am sorry for what you’ve been through, and I hope this piece makes you feel something. I am immensely proud of this piece, and it is my first artwork to be displayed in a gallery. This piece helped me regain strength and confidence in myself. It reminded me of my love of art and just how impactful it can be. Baying will always have a space in my heart and I and so proud of what it has inspired me to do.
