I loved this project because I got to learn a lot about the sports I'm usually not as interested in and explore different ways of representing so many elements. I have designed a logo for the Paris 2024 Olympics which includes a symbol using the colours of the Olympic rings and inspired by the Eiffel Tower. In addition, I have created a logo variation which combines both elements from the logo in an elongated format.
The "Paris 2024" used in the primary logo is used at the bottom of each poster design as the brand mark. Each poster includes this wordmark, the Olympic rings, the 5 colours of the rings, and features the custom font for the names of each sport. These four elements were used to ensure cohesiveness for all the posters. I wanted each sport to be honoured in a subtle way. Although some sports are more obviously depicted, a lot have hidden details which are fun for the audience to explore.

Inspired by the Eiffel Tower and the colours of the Olympic rings. A modern typeface was chosen to convey a sense of growth from the previous Olympic games which have used more intricate fonts. I like the simplicity of the typeface used in this design as it is paired with the overlapping details and coloured symbol used to replace the "A".
Right: Paris Olympics 2024 Logo Variation
This logo variation uses the same design elements from the original, with a focus on the Eiffel Tower inspired symbol rather than the type. I like the difference in focus and how both logos can be used in different ways.
